From Kalmar, south-eastern Sweden, Gentle Touch hit the world with straight beats, melodic guitars and longings for eighties hit songs. The musical touch may seem harsh when the intros come thru but at the end of the songs it's the very careful and dreamy feeling that persists - a feeling also known as gentle.
From their base in an apartment in Stockholm Le Sport used to create beautiful melodies that always had the dance floor in mind. Their songs sounds like some kids ate a ton of ice cream, drank gallons of soda pop, and then listened to Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Saint Etienne records all night long.
The LK (The Love of Kevin, Chaos, Colour and the Sound of K), formerly The Lovekevins, is an experimental pop outfit from Malmo, Sweden. Layering musique concrète-style collages of sound over stylized pop/soul arrangements, they craft a kind of playful, elegant "micro-jangle" using scratchy voice memos, field recordings and guitar/vocal/horn improvisations.
These two guys represent the city of Stockholm and raise questions of what will happen when we grow old. They also produce melodies that correspond to bands like the Postal Service and everything else that has been great in the last couple of year’s electronic pop revolution.
